Three Striped Palm Squirrel

These little darlings provided a lot of entertainment, they were very territorial and fights were common! The have a bird like squawking voice and their squeaks worked in unison with their tails moving up and down, very comical!

Little Heron/Pond Heron

This heron was a very common sight in Goa, it was sometimes difficult to differentiate the two species as many were juveniles

A very peculiar looking bird!!

This osprey was quite a way off so heavily cropped photos

We came across these characters amongst the mangroves, very entertaining to watch!

Paradise Flycatcher

We saw quite a few of these lovely birds, the males have the long tail streamers

The first two are Black Capped Oriole, the two record shots are of Eurasian Golden Oriole

Pied Kingfisher

The light was tricky when we located this bird but lovely to watch and observe

White Throated Kingfisher

These beauties were everywhere and not always near water. They were often seen on road signs and overhead lines. Stunning Birds!

Mugga Crocs

We saw 9 crocs in total, the largest one was frighteningly close to our boat!

Shrika (Asian Sparrowhawk)

This bird was seen most mornings usually on the same branch devouring an unfortunate lizard!

Ashy Prinia

Such a delightful little bird and quite confiding, it showed up well in the sunlight

This pair were roosting quite low down but we only were able to get a back view!

A very endearing pair!

Our first viewing was difficult as it was hidden away, the second time we saw two and one sat out in the open briefly
