Three Striped Palm Squirrel





These little darlings provided a lot of entertainment, they were very territorial and fights were common! The have a bird like squawking voice and their squeaks worked in unison with their tails moving up and down, very comical!

Little Heron/Pond Heron





This heron was a very common sight in Goa, it was sometimes difficult to differentiate the two species as many were juveniles

Adjutant Stork



A very peculiar looking bird!!

We came across these characters amongst the mangroves, very entertaining to watch!

Pied Kingfisher




The light was tricky when we located this bird but lovely to watch and observe

White Throated Kingfisher




These beauties were everywhere and not always near water. They were often seen on road signs and overhead lines. Stunning Birds!

Mugga Crocs




We saw 9 crocs in total, the largest one was frighteningly close to our boat!

Shrika (Asian Sparrowhawk)




This bird was seen most mornings usually on the same branch devouring an unfortunate lizard!

Such a delightful little bird and quite confiding, it showed up well in the sunlight

Our first viewing was difficult as it was hidden away, the second time we saw two and one sat out in the open briefly
