Scandinavian Stunners

The group picture is a little bleached out due to the terrible light when we first located them. The sun came out later which allowed us to capture the Waxwings' true beauty!

More of the same...

We will never tire of observing and photographing these stunning birds!

Waxwings

Fantastic to catch up with c25 of these beauties!

Little Egret

We saw a number of this now quite common birds on our visit to the coast

Glaucous Gull

This gull has been at the seal colony at Donna Nook, taking advantage of the discarded placentas of the seals!

Steppe Grey Shrike

Steppe Grey Shrike 2

What a bird! This rare bird is so very obliging and gave lots of people so much joy as it has no fear of humans and kept sitting at our feet, sitting on peoples 'scopes and lenses and rucksacks!

It is a sub-species of the Southern Grey Shrike and only a handful of records for the UK.

Motherly Love

We came across this mother seal and pup and wanted to capture the interaction. The youngster was enjoying playing in a small body of water whilst Mum looked on with great concern in her eyes and kept reassuring her baby. A privledge to share some intimate moments!

Seal Pups

Atlantic Grey Seal pups part 2

A short visit early morning (before the crowds descended) to capture the playfulness of the baby seals.
