Amazing Sunset

Tonights sunset was surreal and beautiful!

Blackbird youngster

One of four to fledge this week in our garden, 2 have already fallen victim to the neighbourhood cats :(

Quite a confiding bird, it stayed put whilst we got photos:)

Always elusive, barely showing out in the open, but still gave us nice views

Garganey

Very poor and "noisy" images due to it being nearly dark so ISO 800 used. There were three of these (2male,1 female) at our local reserve. It is hoped they stick around so we can get pics in better light!

Fledgling

Our first fledged Blackbird from the nest in our garden - what a cutie!!

Distant Bittern

Havent witnessed a Bittern coming up out of the reeds and perching on a bush before, it stayed a good five minutes before flying off. Pity it was so far away

First sighting this year for me. Very hard to pin down through all the vegetation

"Tree Rats" or not, they are still a pleasure to watch and photograph!

Magpie and Pheasant

This magpie was quite bold and didnt mind being photgraphed! The pheasants plumage showed well in the afternoon sunlight

This beauty was resting by the path, such beautiful bronze colouring, gorgeous!
